Executive Board
Key Players to the Cause for the 2019-2020 School Year
Sauma Doka
President
As Vice president from 2017- 2019, I was able to work with my board members to help organize events, plan logistics and encourage participation. It was great to have a community of like-minded individuals who are going through the same classes I am but also hope to achieve the same goals as I do as well. We were able to engage and make an impact in a variety of public health issues in our community and learn more about important topics that we just don't get to discuss in class. We did this all while having people to discuss our experience at UMD as Public Health Science students with. To drive SEIPH's mission forward, I want to help create and expand that for other Public Health Science students who are looking for ways to enrich their college experience, contribute to the health of the community around them, meet some great people, and become more well-rounded individuals for the health careers that we have ahead of us.

Nuntana Nimrat
Vice President
I will drive SEIPH’s mission forward, which is to connect, lead, serve and network, by collaborating with my organization members, advisors, officials and partners to plan events and ensure that the activities within the community are planned in an organized fashion, effective towards improving the health and wellness of the public and that they are engaging and enjoyable. Although, I have just recently joined SEIPH, I am confident that if given the opportunity to be Vice President, that I will learn the necessary skills that it takes to be a leader while learning how to improve in areas of weakness or when given constructive criticism. Overall, my goal is to always do my best to support my team in any way, while inspiring and motivating each other to achieve increased productivity and provide open and effective communication.

Marie Ngobo-Ekamby
Secretary
To drive SEIPH's mission forward, I plan on collaborating with SEIPH E-Board members and other student organizations associated with the School of Public Health to create enriching community service opportunities for our members I will also facilitate a space that encourages SEIPH members to participate in discussions that address public health issues such as infant mortality, health literacy, health equity, global health, the social determinants of health, and so forth. Lastly, I hope to create opportunities that will better prepare our members for their professional endeavors in the field of public health.
